    TODAY
     
    Today I try to live life to the full,
    Headbanging to the sounds of Jethro Tull;
    Today I try to live life the way I choose,
    A freak on a leash wearing converse shoes;
    Today I try to live life the way I please,
    With the world at my feet and not at my knees;
    Today I try to live a life trying to feed,
    This unstoppable,unrelenting and insatiable greed;
    Today I try to live life in this piteous bod,
    Trying to find myself and trying to find a God;
    Today I try to live more within my head,
    It’s a better place than this land of the dead;
    Today I live life trying to find some love,
    A guiding hand, a voice from above;
    Today I live life trying to sedate,
    All this pent up anger and all this hate;
    Today I live life feeling misunderstood,
    If only I could change things, if only I could;
    Today I try to live a life that seems like scattered reams,
    With no identity and borrowed dreams!!!
